The second iteration of the “FAST Accelerator” program, developed to support and finance the next generation of innovative businesses and entrepreneurs across Africa, has been launched by artificial intelligence (AI) company Flapmax. FAST Accelerator 2023 seeks to provide a transformative experience for company entrepreneurs in Africa seeking to develop quickly and sustainably, building on the success of the inaugural program. For the first program, more than 800 entrepreneurs from more than 25 countries applied.
Microsoft has also joined forces with the program to support startup businesses in Africa and emerging markets create sustainable solutions by offering business development experience, technology integration, finance opportunities, and community building.
The digital behemoth will also offer businesses possibilities for mentorship and specialized venture capital. The top 10 startups accepted into the FAST Accelerator 2023 program will be chosen to participate in a five-week program in Silicon Valley, California, where they will network with business leaders, possible investors, and international partners using Flapmax’s thriving ecosystem of over 600 corporate partners.

We join together to create a better future for Africa and the rest of the globe, propelled by the transformational force of innovation and technology.
The program “the revolutionary FAST Accelerator”
This month, Flapmax urges startup executives across Africa to apply to the accelerator. Companies must be situated in Africa, be ready to scale or develop across the continent, and have a track record of generating revenue and establishing product-market fit.
For this cohort, the FAST Accelerator is giving priority to business-to-business entrepreneurs, with a focus on the industries of healthcare, fintech, edutech, industrials, and agtech. Startups in deep technology and sustainability are also welcome to apply.
The full program, which consists of a two-week virtual boot camp in August 2023 and a five-week accelerator program in California in October, must be completed by participants. The event in October will give attendees access to networking and funding possibilities while immersing them in Silicon Valley’s vibrant startup ecosystem.
Co-founder and CTO of HR IT startup Pade, Lekan Omotosho, spoke on the advantages the business reaped from the first FAST Accelerator in 2022: We are honored to have taken part in the game-changing 2022 FAST Accelerator program as an HR technology firm committed to creating top-tier software solutions for organizations.
