Standard Chartered and DIFC Innovation Hub’s ‘Women in innovation’ accelerator program promotes diversity and economic growth in the UAE’s innovation sector.
The fifth cohort of Standard Chartered’s ‘Women in Tech’ accelerator program has begun, in collaboration with DIFC Innovation Hub. In order to promote creativity, diversity, and economic development, the two organizations are hoping that the initiative will keep accelerating sustainable growth and empowering female entrepreneurs in the UAE’s technology sector.
The Standard Chartered “Women in Tech” accelerator program provides female business owners with a platform to realize their potential, get over obstacles, and advance their companies. The program effectively runs in nine countries as a part of a global Women in Tech project to build a global network of empowered women in the tech industry.
The initiative offers unmatched assistance, coaching, and access to seed money in partnership with the famous DIFC Innovation Hub to catapult the success of women-led start-ups.
Start-ups are encouraged to apply to the accelerator by the end of July. UAE Standard Chartered will choose ten startups to take part. Selected business owners will gain access to an extensive curriculum with specialized training, immersive workshops, and priceless mentorship opportunities catered to their particular requirements.
A demo day in October, where 10 female-led entrepreneurial teams present their cutting-edge company plans to a renowned panel of potential investors, industry insiders, and thought leaders, marks the conclusion of the Women in Tech accelerator program. The top three winners will receive a combined $100,000 in equity-free initial funding as well as exposure, giving their ventures a significant boost.

The latest Women in Tech accelerator was just launched, and Standard Chartered UAE’s CEO, Rola Abu Manneh, said of the initiative: “This program is a testament to our shared commitment with the UAE to advocate women’s empowerment and support technical innovation. Prior to this, Standard Chartered UAE advanced four cohorts, totaling more than 20 start-ups, who raised more than $5 million from different venture capitalists to grow their businesses both inside and beyond the UAE.
