Explore the newly introduced Masters in Global Investment Banking, a collaboration between Financial Edge and Northeastern University London, offering a unique entry point and real-world skills from day one.
Financial Edge, the training company for Wall Street investment banks, and Northeastern University London have collaborated to introduce a new Masters in Global Investment Banking.
The program offers a unique entry point into the finance business to postgraduate students with a range of academic backgrounds. It is appropriate for people without prior financial training or internship experience, as well as those who have only recently discovered their interest in money.
Dean of Northeastern University London Professor Scott Wildman expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.
“This program combines the world-class academic reputation of Northeastern University London with Financial Edge’s expert financial training,” he stated. Students will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the investment banking business because to our shared commitment to innovation, excellence, and teaching real-world skills.
The program
The MSc Global Investment Banking 12-month intensive program places a strong emphasis on innovation, excellence, and practical skills in order to equip students with the knowledge and abilities needed to succeed in the investment banking sector.
It explores a range of topics related to the company, including as customer interactions, day-to-day activities, bank operations, and the function of investment banking in the global business environment.
The course covers crucial topics like financial modeling, accounting, business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity while maintaining a rigorous academic standard. Students actively participate in case studies, real-world data, and technology used by industry analysts.
Alastair Matchett, managing director of Financial Edge, emphasized the program’s emphasis on establishing real-world skills right from the start by pointing out that investment banking internships accept only 1% of candidates.
“Investment banks now prioritize hiring applicants with a variety of academic backgrounds, not simply those with degrees in finance. We take pride in offering a degree that provides a unique and distinct entry point into the business, emphasizing real-world investment banking skills from the very beginning.
Students from the UK and other countries can enroll in the MSc Global Investment Banking program. Applications are now being accepted for the September 2023 cohort of the program.
