Thousands of ETH were just transferred to another wallet by a huge ETH whale. A wallet that has been inactive since 2015 transferred 8,000 Ethereum to another wallet, according to data from Lookonchain. The wallet first transferred 1 ETH, and then, after a short period of time, it transferred the remaining 7,999.
At the current price of ETH, which is $1,892, the 8,000 ETH are worth around $15.14 million. However, the investor who owns the ETH purchased it when each token cost about $0.31. In other words, the wallet spent $2,480 to purchase 8,000 ETH.
Not for the first time since the ETH ICO in 2015, an ETH wallet has awoken in recent months. A similar action was taken by a wallet containing 2,365 ETH at the end of April. Additionally, the ETH purchased in 2015 was worth $0.31. The investor bought 2,365 ETH for about $730 total.
