In 2025, the Forbes list revealed a growth of 247 billionaires compared to the previous year, bringing the total to 3,028. Their collective wealth increased by $2 trillion, now totaling $16.1 trillion.
Elon Musk, the entrepreneur behind companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and X, topped the list with a fortune of $342 billion, an increase of $147 billion. Following Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta (formerly Facebook), ranked second with a net worth of $216 billion. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, secured third place with a fortune of $215 billion.
Musk, Zuckerberg, and Bezos garnered attention for all attending Donald Trump's presidential inauguration on January 20, after Trump returned to office following his victory in the election last fall.
