PayPal announces leadership changes and a new business unit structure to enhance customer service and prepare for future expansion.
Coinciding with a wider reorganization within the company, PayPal announces significant leadership changes as part of a strategic initiative to bolster its commitment to sustainable growth and customer service. These adjustments are a part of PayPal’s ongoing efforts to efficiently address customer requests as well as its preparations for the company’s next phase of expansion.
In an effort to improve consumer attention and streamline operations, PayPal has divided its staff into three discrete business units: Consumer, Small Business, and Large Enterprise. The goal of this strategic alignment is to improve the business’s capacity to effectively address the particular requirements of every consumer category.
Isabel Cruz joins PayPal as chief people officer as part of the reorganization, with the responsibility of luring, keeping, and developing talent. She is also in charge of the business’s worldwide real estate strategy.
In her prior position, Cruz oversaw personnel strategies and people projects for a global workforce of more than 30,000 associates as SVP and people leader for Walmart’s global technology, services, and corporate teams.
As general manager of the small business and financial services group, Michelle Gill takes on the position of executive vice president. Her job is to combine PayPal’s range of offerings for small business owners into a single, seamless package. Her experience includes directing transformative initiatives in her prior roles at Intuit and acting as SVP, QuickBooks Money Platform.
Diego Scotti, meanwhile, joins as an executive vice president and general manager of the worldwide marketing and communications organization and consumer group. His responsibilities include coordinating PayPal’s consumer goods and services to deliver a smooth clientele and value proposition. From his prior position as EVP and chief marketing officer at Verizon, Scotti has experience in marketing.
Veteran PayPal employee Frank Keller is also named SVP and general manager of PayPal’s big enterprise and merchant platform group as part of the leadership transition. With this action, PayPal is demonstrating its dedication to fostering innovation and growth in both its merchant and enterprise sectors. The company’s existing SVP and general counsel, Bimal Patel, will also become a member of the senior leadership group.
