Paymentology receives Visa Cloud Connect certification, providing cloud-first worldwide connection for fintech, banking and more.

The worldwide issuer processor Paymentology has obtained “Visa Cloud Connect” (VCC) certification from Visa, a global leader in digital payments, making it the first issuer processor in Europe.

Paymentology can now better serve its fintech, banking, and telco clients by connecting to the global VCC network after obtaining Visa Cloud Connect certification from Visa. Additionally, the accreditation aligns with its cloud-first approach.

More and more banks, telcos, and fintech companies are seeking to go international and conduct business internationally. But companies frequently run into challenges like paying for local data centres, putting in place specific hardware, adhering to local standards, and coordinating with local partners. These difficulties may impede client adoption and service deployment.

The partnership between Paymentology and Visa Cloud Connect seeks to address these issues head-on. Through the use of cloud-based infrastructure, Paymentology’s next-generation platform safely links to VisaNet, providing a comprehensive range of Visa products, reducing the need for data centres, expediting transactions, and guaranteeing high performance and data security. By doing this, security is improved, service deployment is accelerated, customer uptake is delayed less, and in the end, a more dependable, scalable, and secure platform is produced.

In order to guarantee the highest level of uptime for its clients, Paymentology intends to establish VCC endpoint active zones throughout Europe as part of its cloud-first programme. Additional markets will be included as part of the comprehensive collaboration roadmap.

The “global rollout plan” for Paymentology’s first phase

“As the first issuer processor in Europe to have our infrastructure purely in the cloud, this move not only exemplifies our commitment to innovation but also establishes our platform as the epitome of flexibility, scalability, and security for our clients,” said Merusha Naidu, global head of partnerships at Paymentology.

“The first leg of our global rollout plan is Europe.

“We’re excited to keep working with Visa to unlock payments on a global scale by giving fintechs more dependable ways to enter the market faster.”

Additionally, Joe Samuel, vice president and head of issuer enablers for Visa in Europe, stated: “Visa’s basic purpose is to uplift everyone everywhere, and expanding access to financial tools and services is core to that goal.

“We are thrilled to maintain our long-standing cooperation with Paymentology since partners who connect to our global Visa Cloud Connect network open a multitude of product solutions for their clients.”

Targeting Paymentology’s important markets in APAC, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East and North Africa, the partnership between Visa and Paymentology aims to repeat its cloud-first commitment to unlocking payments globally moving forward.

As a preferred issuer processor for Visa, Paymentology stated that it aspires to stay at the forefront of innovation in the banking and fintech industries by offering a multi-cloud network and next-generation payments platform to process any kind of card.
