Fintech Zimpler and Spotify join forces to back the Women in Tech Regatta in Stockholm, fostering diversity and positive change in the tech sector.
Fintech Zimpler and Spotify have partnered to support the first-ever Women in Tech Regatta in Stockholm this October, with the goal of promoting creativity, diversity in the workplace, and good change within the tech sector.
Attendees of the Women in Tech (WiT) Regatta are guaranteed access to tools, peers, mentors, and the strength of community. It seeks to promote career advancement opportunities in the tech industry and to educate and inspire people.
WiT is a non-profit organisation that was established in Seattle in 2013 with the goal of empowering women in the tech industry. Seattle, Vancouver, and Amsterdam all host regattas as well.
Globally recognised
In order to promote fruitful interactions, the conference affords panel discussions with a diverse range of participants, networking opportunities with prominent figures in the tech industry, and specific time during each session for attendees to connect, form relationships, and exchange ideas and experiences.
WiT Regatta’s creator and connection engineer, Melody Biringer, states: “Sweden’s IT scene has become globally recognised thanks to the success of Swedish firms like Zimpler and Spotify. Per capita, Stockholm has produced more tech unicorns. WiT Regatta’s visit to Stockholm makes sense.
Sessions will consist of
- It’s relationships that really matter.
- Designing for diversity
- Tech developments that defy myths
- Handling ambiguity and exhaustion
- generative AI as a creative fuel
According to Abel Buko, sustainability manager at Zimpler, “Zimpler is proud to host the inaugural Stockholm Women in Tech Regatta together with Spotify.” “Zimpler aspires to be a constructive influence in the areas in which we operate as stakeholders, including the employment market, the payments sector, and the Stockholm tech cluster.
“Even though our workforce is highly diverse and globally integrated, there is always room for improvement, and the conference promises to be an invaluable learning experience. Everyone should feel heard and seen, and we want them to leave this week with fresh perspectives and new connections.
