Toncoin (TON), a non-custodial cryptocurrency, may now be used to buy Telegram Premium subscriptions.
You can now pay for a subscription to Telegram Premium for 3, 6, or 12 months using the cryptocurrency Toncoin (TON), which can be done so through the non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet known as Tonkeeper.
Telegram Premium subscriptions cost Toncoin (TON)
The TON Foundation, a non-profit committed to The Open Network’s (TON) development, has announced that Toncoin can now be used to pay for Telegram Premium subscription services (TON).
The Fragment platform allows for new purchases, and TON is the native digital token in the TON Blockchain. Moreover, TON and the non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet Tonkeeper can be used to purchase the 3, 6, or 12-month Telegram Premium subscriptions.
In this context, Andrew Rogozov, a TON Foundation founding member, said:
“We’re delighted the Fragment team continues to deepen the integration with Telegram messenger and extend its functionality. Our goal is to create a user-friendly experience to bring blockchain technology to the masses, and we recognise that developments of this kind which serve Telegram’s extensive user base will help to accelerate the mass adoption of blockchain technology.”
Toncoin (TON) on Fragment will speed up the adoption of cryptocurrency
The platform Fragment supports secure, anonymous public auctions and direct sales. Built on the Blockchain of TON, Fragment made its debut in October 2022.
TON will effectively be a new feature on the anonymous token marketplace Fragment, which already lets users buy and sell phone numbers and anonymous tokens. The membership package for Telegram Premium will include TON.
This would increase the use cases for TON and hasten the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies and its Blockchain.
The groundbreaking Open Network (TON) unites all blockchain and Internet Web2 into a single open network. For the billions of Telegram users, it was designed to enable the real Web3.
It has been run as an open-source community project since 2020. The Telegram team originally created it, adopting its spirit of freedom and transparency. The layer-1 design of TON supports up to 60 shardchains per workchain and 2 to the power of 32 workchains. It can nearly instantly support millions of transactions per second.
Telegram has now added USDT-TRC20
Telegram’s cryptocurrency wallet now supports Tron’s TRC20-compliant stablecoin Tether (USDT). The software now supports a total of three cryptocurrencies.
Indeed, users can currently send each other Bitcoin (), Toncoin (TON), and now Tether, albeit only in its Tron-based version (TRC20-USDT).
Nowadays, Tether (USDT) may be found on several other blockchains, including Ethereum, EOS, Omni, Polygon, Solana, and many more. But, Telegram went with the version that uses the Tron blockchain.
In the cryptocurrency community, USDT is the most often utilized stablecoin. In fact, it leads all other stablecoins in terms of market value; at the moment, it is close to $80 billion.
