Richard Teng: Binance’s new CEO is introduced by Changpeng Zhao
In a tweet from yesterday, Changpeng Zhao, often known as CZ, presented Richard Teng as the new CEO of Binance. He wrote:
“I’m pleased to announce that Richard Teng, our now former Global Head of Regional Markets, has been named the new CEO of Binance today.
Richard is a highly qualified leader and, with over three decades of financial services and regulatory experience, he will navigate the company through its next period of growth. He will ensure Binance delivers on our next phase of security, transparency, compliance, and growth.
Prior to joining Binance, Richard was CEO of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority at Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM); Chief Regulatory Officer of the Singapore Exchange (SGX); and Director of Corporate Finance in the Monetary Authority of Singapore.”
In reality, Teng served as CEO of Abu Dhabi Global Market, the financial services regulator for the UAE capital, and Binance’s global head of regional markets most recently.
Furthermore, Teng held the positions of chief regulatory officer at the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) and director of corporate finance at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for a total of twenty-one years, from 1994 to 2015.
This person has therefore spent more than 30 years working in the financial services and regulatory industries.
Richard Teng: What plans does Binance’s new CEO have?
Teng made the decision to sign up for X, where he disclosed his plans with reference to Binance and—above all—asked the community for the appropriate assistance.
In essence, Teng promised to endeavor to reassure customers so they will keep believing in the company and the cryptocurrency exchange. In addition, the new CEO of Binance plans to collaborate with Web3 partners and regulators.
Thirty years of regulatory and financial experience
Teng has thirty years of expertise in the finance and regulatory sectors, based on what is revealed.
Furthermore, because he was hired by Binance in 2021, the new CEO is already acquainted with how the company operates.
As he states in his lengthy inaugural tweet, he will be guiding the “bright” future of the cryptocurrency-trading platform with all the expertise he has accumulated over the course of his long career.
The first of the many remarks in Teng’s tweet appears to be from Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, who wished to congratulate Binance’s new CEO and extend their collaboration.
