Niamh Byrne, the Head of UK and Ireland at IG Group, has been hired by Capital.com, a worldwide broker with its headquarters in London. Byrne joined the business after working for IG Group for 14 years. She was the Head of UK B2B2C Sales at the London-based IG Group prior to the new position.
Byrne’s hiring was announced by Capital.com on Wednesday in a statement that was made available to Finance Magnates. Byrne, according to the broker, will support the implementation of its new agreement with forex and CFDs broker OvalX as well as help to build its UK business.
According to Capital.com, Niamh will be in charge of creating solid customer relationships and implementing the entire plan to guarantee the highest level of client satisfaction and expansion.

Byrne will Back Capital.com’s New Partnership with OvalX
According to Finance Magnates, the brokerage is moving to buy OvalX’s customer assets. According to the agreement, OvalX will give some of its current retail and professional clients the option to transfer their accounts to the business so that they can continue trading without interruption, according to a joint statement from OvalX and Capital.com.

Between October 2008 and March 2009, Byrne worked for RBC Dexia Investor Services in addition to IG Group. Among other financial services, the organisation provides custody, fund, and investment administration. Additionally, Byrne worked as the Client Services Professional at Davy, Ireland’s leading stockbroker, wealth management, and asset manager, from March 2007 until September 2008.
Capital.com hires executives from IG Group
Capital.com has added additional IG Group professionals to its executive team in recent months to bolster it. Greg Adams, a seasoned executive from IG Group, was appointed by the firm to serve as its Head of Risk in December. Alessandro Capuano, Head of Exchange Traded Product at IG Group, was hired by the broker a month earlier to take over as Head of Europe at Capital.com. Capuano once worked at IG Group for over 13 years.
