HPE collaborates with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) for advanced banking transformation with HPE GreenLake and Aruba Networking solutions.
The US-based information technology company Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and the UAE-based Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) have partnered to modernise DIB’s core banking system through the use of HPE GreenLake, an edge-to-cloud platform.
Dubai Islamic Bank stated that it intends to introduce new services and digital goods as well as boost customer satisfaction through the partnership with HPE. Furthermore, the implementation of an extensive suite of wireless solutions from HPE Aruba Networking would improve DIB’s connection, mobility, and overall network security.
DIB, the second-biggest Islamic bank globally and the largest in the United Arab Emirates, was founded in 1975. By delivering a personalised and interesting experience, DIB hopes to instill simplicity and convenience in all of its offers, driven by the bank’s customer-centric approach and its dedication to sustainable digital transformation.
“As we aim to become the most progressive Islamic financial institution in the world and align with the UAE Government’s vision for innovation and modernised services, we constantly refine our services and develop new solutions, taking into account our customers’ needs throughout their journey with DIB,” stated Obaid Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer of DIB, in explaining the necessity for the bank to modernise its systems. We’re always working to make our banking experience more simple, streamlined, and tailored with this in mind.
“We have committed ourselves to offering easily understood banking. As such, we apply the same criteria to any technology we use.
We are providing an intuitive solution with cloud experience in a safe and legal environment in collaboration with HPE. As a result, we’re not only improving our operational effectiveness but also advancing the industrial transformation and economic diversification of the UAE.
Promoting long-term growth and efficiency for the bank
Maintaining extreme agility and providing the best solutions whenever and wherever they are needed is one of DIB’s main priorities. In order to maintain this level of agility, the bank needs broad estate visibility, easily scalable IT, and the ability to react swiftly to changing business needs.
As a result, DIB should be able to anticipate future resource requirements as they increase and optimise internal operations and processes.
Managing director for the UAE at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Ahmad Alkhallafi, stated: “We are pleased to assist DIB in their endeavours to deliver the best possible client experience.
“By giving their staff the resources, smooth connectivity, and compute they require to improve teamwork, DIB will be able to provide customers with exceptional services thanks to HPE GreenLake and the HPE Aruba Networking secure Wi-Fi platform. This will spur the bank’s long-term growth and efficiency as they produce new, fulfilling experiences.
DIB will be able to easily and thoroughly oversee the central management of its network thanks to the HPE GreenLake for Aruba services.
The cloud-native HPE Aruba Network Edge Services Platform (ESP) provides integrated edge-to-cloud security, automated network management, and insights driven by predictive artificial intelligence.
