Flutterwave’s “Tuition” payment product simplifies the process of paying educational fees for African students.
‘Tuition’ is a new payment product that African customers may use to conveniently pay a variety of fees to educational institutions both in Africa and abroad using their local currencies. It was developed by the African-based payments technology business Flutterwave.
Tuition was created by Flutterwave to address the many difficulties that African students encounter when paying their schooltuition. The product attempts to make transactions with schools simple and easy. With aspirations to expand to other countries in Africa and beyond, tuition also makes it possible for students, parents, guardians, and sponsors to pay tuition at more than 40 universities in the UK.
When sending money from Africa to foreign schools, there are several difficulties to deal with. These include high transaction charges, restricted access to financial institutions, currency conversion rates, and security issues.
The new payment product will make use of Flutterwave’s proprietary payment technology solution to improve the reliability, convenience, and security of payments for school fees. Now that tuition payments may be made directly to educational institutions in the UK, parents, guardians, and sponsors can simply follow their transactions by looking up the status and history on the Tuition web app.
Aiding “the aspirations of African students”
African students will benefit from the new product, according to Flutterwave CEO Olugbenga Agboola, who stated: “We are excited to launch Tuition to support the dreams of African students across all levels who want to study anywhere without stressing about how to meet the deadline for their school fees payment.
With tuition, we are giving African students a safer, more dependable, and more reasonable way to follow their aspirations and easily obtain financial assistance from their parents, guardians, and sponsors.
There are currently high schools, colleges, universities, and even international edutech platforms offered on Tuition.
“We are always looking for new ways to make payment challenges in Africa hassle-free, and we are confident that Tuition will be a game changer for parents who want to support their children’s education,” said Stella Elele, product manager of Tuition by Flutterwave, in addition to discussing the launch.
With intentions to potentially expand the service to other African nations, we are thrilled to offer this alternative to parents in Nigeria. For our clients, we strive to offer the greatest service and assistance possible.
‘Tuition’ is presently offered in Nigeria for UK school price payments, with future ambitions to expand it to other African nations. As it expands access to the product, Flutterwave also wants to add more schools in Africa, the UK, the US, Canada, France, and Germany.
