Join the cashless wave in UAE with the “e& Money Card,” offering instant issuance, 16-digit Mastercard functionality, and integrated contactless payments.
The “e& money card,” a digital-first card for the UAE market, has been introduced by e& money, the fintech division of the international technology business e& group, in an effort to advance financial inclusion and hasten the transition to a cashless society.
With the new e& money card, UAE citizens can get a card in about 10 seconds by logging into the e& money app. For use in transactions and ATM access, each customer will receive an e-money card with a 16-digit Mastercard logo. Since the debut in March, more than 180,000 digital cards have been distributed.
According to e& money, its mission is to revolutionize how UAE citizens handle their accounts and give them the ability to conduct safe international transactions. The e&money card will be integrated with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Wallet to offer contactless payments’ convenience and speed, as well as to deliver an amazing user experience.
During the launch period, customers can also ask for a free physical copy of their cards, which they will get in a few days.
In the UAE, the e& money card also provides a prepaid card loyalty program that guarantees clients 1% cash rewards on all card purchases from the time of debut until the end of 2023.
Customers may access cash rewards via the app by either moving them to their primary wallet account as actual cash or redeeming them in the special e& money loyalty catalogue, which offers items like gaming and leisure coupons.
“Redefining the ways in which people access and manage their finances”
“The launch of the e& money card marks a significant milestone in our mission to reshape the future of financial services in the UAE,” said Khalifa Al Shamsi, CEO of e& life, in response to the announcement.
“We are reinventing how consumers access and manage their accounts by fusing cutting-edge technology, flawless user experiences, and alluring advantages, such rapid digital issuance and cash rewards. Our goal is to enable people from all walks of life to embrace the benefits of a cashless society by boosting financial inclusion.
The new card’s potential effects on the UAE were also mentioned by Melike Kara, CEO of e&money: “With the launch of the e& money card, we are altering the future of financial services in the UAE. By giving everyone fast access to a rewarding prepaid card that gives cash benefits, we hope to empower everyone, banked or not.
“As e&money, we are pleased to introduce this digital-only card as the country’s first telco-backed issuer. The e& Money card portfolio is expected to transform consumer digital experiences and the payment landscape.
