Topics you’ll be studying
Students will study topics including Bitcoin, Lightning Network, Stablecoins, Peer-to-Peer Technologies, Mining, Blockchain Analysis, Regulation, Self-Custody, and more during the first week.
The second week is split into two tracks, allowing students who are new to technology to learn the basics of coding while experienced developers can expand their expertise by discovering the potential of peer-to-peer programming.
The tracks for Summer School
- No coding knowledge is necessary for beginners using the Satoshi track
If you are interested in learning the basics of coding but lack any experience, select the Satoshi track.
- Pear track (for developers that are advanced or intermediate)
If you enjoy coding and want to learn how to create on peer-to-peer platforms like Keet.io and Holepunch, select the Pear track.
Competition and prize for pitches
Teams of students will work on ideas and proof of concept projects that use Peer-to-Peer and Bitcoin technology to address significant societal concerns. Moreover the teams will take part in a pitch competition to display the results of their work at the conclusion of the two-week program.
Finally a total of USDT 9,000 in prizes—$5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second, and $1,500 for third—will be awarded to the top three teams. The winners will be judged and selected by a jury of Peer-to-Peer and Bitcoin specialists, academics, and business representatives.
